Sydney Hockey board met last night and finalised the grades for the Sydney League competition. (see attached)
The nomination flow this year was a little different to previous but it is great to see the majority of players back to compete for a planned full season!
You will notice that SL1&2 are 8 team competitions. Based on the team nominations this was seen as the best way to ensure viable competitions in the Sydney league without byes
Some team changes were necessary in other grades to create what we believe will be competitive grades
In 2022, PL & SL have a combine total of 99 teams, just one down on 2021.
The draw for Sydney League will take a few weeks to complete and will be ready well before the season starts on 26th March.
