The rule helps bring SH into line with HA practise for when a person requires 1st Aid assistance on field, they need to then leave the field for a minimum of two minutes. (rule 4.3a)
Please ensure all your teams/players/Managers are aware of this change in the rules. Umpires and TO’s will be advised through the Assignr program.
I have also attached a timely reminder about the Headsmart program recommended by HNSW. The program and tools are useful for all teams to use and Venues to have appropriate information displayed
4.3 All field players are recommended to wear shin, ankle and mouth protection whenever playing in a match managed by Sydney Hockey, and all goalkeepers must wear a complete goalkeeping outfit.
(a) any player including a Goalkeeper, that under Umpires direction requires 1st Aid assistance on field, must leave the field for a minimum of 2 minutes. Normal substitution rules apply.
